| Shared note | Ref. birth record 09062011 Email from Augustus NMN Epple to Timothy White Davis and Patricia Susan Urbonas Davis: Dear Tim and Sue, I found my father's naturalilzation papers dated Dec 26, 1912, showing the name of George August Epple. The family had moved to Paterson from Canada when he ws 10 years old (1890). He decided to become a US citizen in 1912, he told me, because of the bad feelings about Germany and the fact that his infant son, Edmund, was a citizen and he was not. I thank Ryan for locating his birth certificate showing the4 name Julius. I guess somewhere between 1880 and 1912 his name was anglicized. I had never known this. In fact, I didnt's know about Uncle Jake's great grandson because I lost track of his father, Wes, Jr. some time after 1953. If memory serves me right Wesley Sr. was one of my Uncle Jakes sons and I had met his son Wes Jr. one time and I assume Ryan is Wes Jr's,son. Ihad heard from a friend living in North Carolina that Wes Jr had moved from Long Island to North Carolina, but I have had no personal contact with that branch of the family.
