| Shared note | "History of Rock County, Wisconsin", 1879, p 849. THOMAS D. RANDOLPH, farmer, Sec. 1; P.O. Edgerton; born in Middlesex Co., N.J., Aug. 17, 1833; came to Rock Co. in spring of 1865, and located in Rock Co.; in 1869, purchased his present homestead. Married, in December, 1859, Sarah A. DUNN, a native of the State of New Jersey; had four children - Minnie A., Eddy, Lizzie and Mamie. Director of School District; attends the Seventh-Day Baptist Church; Republican. "The Milton Journal", Milton, Wisconsin, Thursday, Aug. 12, 1896, p 1. Thomas D. Randolph was born in New Market, N. J., August 11, 1833, and died at Newville, Wis., August 3, 1896. He married Miss Sarah Dunn, who was also a native of New Market, and in the year 1865 removed to Wisconsin, for a time residing on the farm of Mr. Hemphill about three miles from Milton Junction. He afterward purchased a farm near Newville where he resided until a few years ago when he disposed of his farm and built a residence at Newville where he kept a grocery store. Since the death of his wife, which occurred in September, 1880, he has lived with his children who will greatly miss his presence and counsel. He has been in failing health for some time and though he doubtless had been looking for the change his friends had not expected it so soon. He was a quiet, undemonstrative Christian man, holding his church membership in the Albion S. D. B. church at the time of his death. The funeral services took place at his residence at Newville, August 6, conduct! ed by Pastor Geo. W. Burdick of Milton Junction, and were largely attended, showing the respect in which he was held by his neighbors. Interment was at Albion. "The Sabbath Recorder", Vol 52, No 33, p 527, Aug. 17, 1896. At Newville, in the town of Fulton, Wis., August 3, 1896, Thomas Randolph, aged 63 years. The deceased was born in New Market, N. J., and in the fifteenth year of his age he was baptized by Elder Walter B. Gillett, and united with the New Market Seventh-day Baptist Church. After moving to Wisconsin he removed his membership to the church of Albion, Wis., retaining membership in that church until death. Funeral services were held at his late residence at Newville, conducted by Pastor George W. Burdick of Milton Junction. The interment was at Albion. G. W. B. |
