| Shared note | THOMAS SCOTT DAVIS (Apr 09, 2010) THOMAS SCOTT DAVIS, 47, of Barboursville, W.Va., died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at his residence, after a long illness. Scott was born in Huntington on August 4, 1962, a son of the late Denver Charles Jr. and Elizabeth Ann Richards Davis. He was a graduate of Barboursville High School and served 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired in 2006. He loved all sports, but his true passion was golf. During his days in the Air Force, he was stationed in South Carolina, England and Boston. He played golf wherever and whenever he could and managed to make two hole-in-one's during a lifetime of avid pursuit of the sport. His crowning achievement was to play the old course at St. Andrews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a brother, Denver Charles Davis III. Survivors include two brothers, Frank Daniel Davis of Washington, D.C., Paul Wesley Davis of Barboursville; a niece and three nephews. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10, 2010, Bates Memorial Presbyterian Church, Rev Michael Duchenaeu officiating. Henson Mortuary, Barboursville, is assisting family.
